Engagement- Rome, GA

Jason Laiche, really had his big question planned out to the very last detail. He even hired a photographer to secretly capture the moments as they happened. Well I was sort of a secret. I actually was walking around up at the House of Dreams pretending I was shooting for a class project. I introduced myself and Jason asked me to take a few pictures of he and his girlfriend Susan, little did she know what was about to happen. Here are a few of my favorites from that chilly day in February.

Ben Folds at Berry College

Many of my classmates remember this concert for more reasons than one. I was digging through some old files and thought I would add these from this concert. I waited all day for this press pass at the venue because of security issues , but it was well worth it. Folds is a talented man, as the pictures portray he can’t sit while he plays the piano… I really enjoy his music and his energy.

102 Mile Ultra Marathon

Inspired by the Ultra Marathon Man Dean Karazes James Harrell and Tony Rodriquez set out to run from Charleston to Savannah. Due to a knee injury Tony had to quit about 30 miles into the run, but James kept on going. He made it back to Savannah 102 miles just within the 24 hour period. I have never seen anyone push themselves that hard. I have to say I am pretty partial to the guy nevertheless it was incredible to photograph his journey.

A little bit of stretching before they began their run at about 4:00 a.m.

About 10:30 a.m James continues alone after Tony injured his knee.

Sometime around 1 p.m. halfway point 50 miles James changed his socks three times throughout the day.

Just shy of 24 hours later James finishes his run at 102 miles.

Finally home… James needed a little help from Dad to stay upright.
